Relocation Assistance Eligible for Qualified Technologists Location: Sterling, VA Hours: Full Time (M-F, 9 am to 5:30 pm) Hourly Rate: $45.00 to $55.00 commensurate with experience Department Highlights Patient-Focused Team Cohesive and Friendly Environment Supportive and Encouraging Atmosphere A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique; Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health; Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees; Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions; Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills; Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Here Is What You Will Need Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography; ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible; Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT; High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred; Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location, which is eligible for reimbursement Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred; Two years of experience in mammography is preferred; Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred; Prior quality control experience preferred; Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology; Ability to stand for long periods of time Why Washington Radiology? Hourly Rate: $38.00 to $49.00 commensurate with experience We have a new added feature of our Mammography Technologist Training Program: tuition reimbursement! New team members in our training program are eligible to receive reimbursement for documented tuition expenses up to $10,000 for their Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.
