As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA), you will play a key role in providingadvanced chair-side assistance while delivering high-quality dental care. This positionoffers the opportunity to utilize your expanded clinical skills and contribute meaningfully topatient care alongside a supportive dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a wide range of restorative and general dentalprocedures Perform expanded functions within the scope of state-specific requirements Assist with restorative procedures, including placement and contouring of amalgamand composite fillings Support temporary crown and bridge fabrication and placement Take accurate dental impressions and assist with preparing study models Provide orthodontic assistance as needed Take and process dental X-rays in accordance with state requirements Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following OSHA andCDC infection control standards Provide clear patient education regarding treatment, post-operative instructions,and oral hygiene Maintain detailed and compliant patient records, including accurate charting ofprocedures and treatment notes Maintain dental equipment and treatment areas Organize and restock dental supplies as needed Collaborate with dentists and the dental team to ensure an exceptional patientexperience Qualifications Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification and compliance with all statespecific requirements (if applicable) Certification in dental radiography with the ability to take and process X-rays Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, restorative procedures, and infectioncontrol protocols Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Commitment to providing exceptional patient care Benefits Competitive Compensation Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Short- and Long-Term Disability Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays FSA, HSA, and Dependent Care Accounts Employee Assistance Program Commuter Benefits Exclusive Employee Perks, Discounts, and even pet insurance!
