Mobility Technician, Variable Part Time Day Shift, Acute Care Therapy

Weekly schedule: 16hrs/pay period Shift Differentials: Eligible Shady Grove Medical Center Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Mobility Technician for our Acute Care Therapy Department, who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Mobility Technician you will: Performs functional assessments on all admissions, orients patients/family members to organization and provides Mobility type activities as delegated by the Manager, (Prospective Payment System -PPS) and Nurse Manager. This includes documentation of FIM and quality indicator documentation in performance improvement projects. Performs direct patient care tasks as established and delegated by the Licensed Registered Nurse Provides direct patient care limited to non-invasive procedures, includes activities of daily living, transfers and mobility Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates, includes EKG’s, bladder scans, blood draw and specimen collection and communicates with the RN any variations or critical values. Other specific duties may vary by area of assignment.
