Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

Schedule: Variable schedule 7a - 7p / 7p - 7a

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 26 weeks

Requirements:

• License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse.
• Certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required during clinical orientation.
• Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred Certifications:
• Emergency Nurses Association certification within 2 years of hire.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 2 years of hire.
• Skills:
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the intensive care unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

• Certifications must be obtained through the specified system during clinical orientation.
• Background checks and drug screens may be required as part of the hiring process.
