Description

American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab/Cath Lab Technologist with 1+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.

Details

• Work setting includes Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call coverage for EP late cases as needed
• Uses Philips and PACS equipment
• Epic charting system experience required
• Potential to float to like units within scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT(R) or CCI RCIS certification
• CCI RCES certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Skilled in EKG lead placement, vascular access site prep, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Experience with EP studies including cardiac mapping, ablation, cardioversion, and pacemaker/AICD insertion
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterization
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and maintain sterile fields while scrubbing or circulating

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, accurate patient monitoring, and stocking procedural supplies
• Perform vascular studies and interventions including angioplasty, carotid stenting, and endovascular procedures
• Support EP procedures such as arrhythmia induction, conduction studies, and LAA closure
• Assist with cardiac cath procedures such as PCI, PTCA, TAVR, and Watchman device placement
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols and support Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
• Royal blue scrubs provided
• Unit welcomes first-time travelers
• Former employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Radius rule requires candidates to live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted
• RTO must be submitted at time of application, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
