Job Description Job Description The Food Expediter plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow and quality of food service in a busy restaurant environment. Responsible for coordinating a large kitchen team and managing orders efficiently, the expediter ensures timely preparation and delivery of meals while communicating effectively between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, this role typically operates during evening and weekend shifts and uses kitchen display systems alongside manual ticket handling to oversee operations. Responsibilities Manage order flow using kitchen display systems and manual ticket handling Coordinate activities of a large kitchen team to ensure efficient meal preparation Maintain quality control standards for all dishes leaving the kitchen Oversee timing to ensure orders are prepared and delivered promptly Facilitate clear communication between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience in food service operations Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Strong communication skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Experience with customer service Team collaboration skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Black Diamond Business Ventures Inc
