Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation, from case initiation through trial and post-trial matters
• Prepare, organize, and index trial exhibits, witness binders, and demonstrative evidence
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including witness outlines, trial notebooks, and courtroom logistics
• Coordinate and manage discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests
• Conduct legal research and cite-checking as needed
• Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Manage document review and e-discovery platforms
• Prepare deposition summaries and assist with deposition logistics
• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and court filing requirements (state and federal)
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses as needed
• Provide on-site trial support, including attending trial as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal
• Demonstrated experience assisting attorneys through actual trial proceedings (not just pre-trial litigation)
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
• Proficiency with litigation support software and e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Trial Director, or similar)
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
