Are you a college junior with a passion for problem-solving, data analysis, and making an impact? Markel invites you to join our Actuarial department for a transformative summer internship experience in 2027. As an intern at Markel—a global, publicly traded insurance company—you'll gain hands-on exposure to the real-world operations of our Actuarial department. Whether you're working in pricing, reserving, or actuarial operations, you'll collaborate directly with experienced actuaries and contribute to meaningful projects that drive business decisions.

Who We're Looking For:

• College juniors graduating in May 2028 or recently graduated
• Strong academic performance (GPA 3.5+)
• Majoring in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Proven leadership, analytical thinking, and communication skills
• Proficient in data tools and technology
• Enthusiastic about the property and casualty insurance industry

Pay information:

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The salary range for the position is $24-$28.50/hr.
