Senior Customer Support Specialist Location: Indianapolis, IN (Northwest Side) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week | Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 remote day) About the Opportunity Our client is a growing manufacturer that produces specialized components used by many of the world's leading food, beverage, and pharmaceutical brands.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Customer Support Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for one of their most important customer relationships.

This is a highly visible role supporting a key strategic account and requires someone who excels at building strong customer relationships, navigating complex situations, and collaborating across multiple internal departments.

The ideal candidate enjoys being the trusted resource customers rely on and takes pride in delivering exceptional service, solving problems, and ensuring orders move seamlessly from purchase order through delivery.

Unlike traditional sales or account management positions, this role is focused on customer support, account ownership, order management, and issue resolution, not selling products or driving new business.

What You'll Do Serve as the primary point of contact for a high-profile customer account, building trusted relationships with both customer and internal stakeholders Manage customer orders from receipt through delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely communication throughout the process Review and process purchase orders, order changes, and related transactions within the ERP system Coordinate with production, supply chain, quality, logistics, finance, and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met Proactively identify and resolve customer concerns, shipment issues, product questions, and order discrepancies Partner with Account Managers and other internal teams to provide updates on customer activity and forecast impacts Act as a liaison between customer quality teams and internal quality departments to resolve quality-related matters Support contract administration, rebate programs, credit reviews, and collections-related inquiries as needed Monitor account activity and anticipate potential issues before they impact the customer Recommend process improvements that enhance the customer experience and increase operational efficiency Deliver a high-touch, "white glove" level of service to a strategic customer account What We're Looking For 5+ years of customer service, customer support, order management, sales support, or account coordination experience Experience serving as the primary point of contact for key customer accounts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong background managing orders, purchase orders, customer inquiries, and issue resolution Hands-on ERP experience is required; SAP experience is strongly preferred Proven ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and navigate customer challenges with professionalism and urgency Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently manage complex situations from start to resolution Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, distribution, industrial, or other product-based industries is highly preferred Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service Dependable team player with a collaborative mindset and strong sense of accountability What Makes Someone Successful in This Role Enjoys building long-term customer relationships and serving as a trusted resource Thrives in a customer-facing support role and takes ownership of problems until they're resolved Comfortable working with orders, purchase orders, ERP systems, and day-to-day account support activities Values stability and long-term growth within customer service rather than pursuing a sales-focused career path Brings a proactive, service-oriented approach and a genuine desire to help customers succeed By submitting to this position, you are agreeing to be included in our talent pool for future hiring for similarly qualified positions.
