Head Bartender

This is more than a bartending position.

We are seeking a Lead Bartender & Bar Program Supervisor who wants to play a key role in growing an emerging hospitality concept. The ideal candidate is passionate about beverage programs, guest experience, community building, and business growth/Sales.

Key Responsibilities Bar Operations

• Lead daily bar operations and service execution.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, coffee-based beverages, and non-alcoholic offerings to established standards.
• Ensure consistency, cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health and alcohol service requirements.
• Support opening, closing, and event operations.

Beverage Program Development

• Assist with seasonal cocktail menu development.
• Create signature beverage offerings and promotional programs.
• Monitor beverage quality and guest feedback.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales and guest engagement.

Team Leadership

• Train, mentor, and support bartenders and support staff.
• Lead by example during service.
• Help establish service standards and operational procedures.
• Foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, and teamwork.

Inventory & Financial Management

• Conduct inventory counts and manage ordering.
• Monitor beverage costs and reduce waste.
• Support budgeting and profitability goals.
• Assist with vendor relationships and purchasing.

Sales & Community Engagement

• Drive sales through guest engagement and upselling.
• Build relationships with coworking members, regular guests, and neighborhood patrons.
• Support happy hours, networking events, live music, private events, and community programming.
• Collaborate with management on marketing initiatives and promotions.

Qualifications Required

• Minimum 3 years of bartending experience.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or lead bartender experience.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer.
• Experience managing inventory and ordering.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events.

Preferred

• Cocktail program development experience.
• Experience in startup, independent, or entrepreneurial hospitality concepts.
• Experience supporting private events and special programming.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
• TIPS certification or equivalent.
