Description
  • Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Design individualized treatment strategies addressing both short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Work in harmony with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish cohesive care approaches.
  • Provide educational support to patients and families to enhance progress outside of clinical settings.
  • Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure consistent care across the treatment continuum.
  • Maintain precise and prompt documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited academic institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications
  • Must possess state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is a plus.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, with a thorough understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Ability to customize therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical judgment combined with adept problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comfortable working with electronic medical records and meeting documentation requirements.
