Global Development Senior Medical Director, Hematology Oncology

AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Medical Director to lead clinical development programs in hematology oncology. This role oversees early and late-phase trial design, execution, safety monitoring, and regulatory strategy within a global, cross-functional team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical product team in designing and implementing hematology oncology development programs
- Ensure all clinical studies maintain safety standards and comply with regulatory and ethical guidelines
- Provide expert medical input on trial design, data review, interpretation, and regulatory submissions
- Collaborate with investigators, key opinion leaders, and internal teams on protocol development
- Support protocol governance approval and manage daily operations of assigned drug development projects
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with clinical experience in hematology oncology
- Demonstrated experience in clinical trial design and global drug development
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, EMEA, ICH, GCP guidelines)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with protocol development and clinical study report delivery
