Become a vital part of a hospital team in Kilmarnock, VA as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will perform CT and X-ray imaging, administer contrast when indicated, operate GE CT and GE X-ray equipment, obtain and verify clinical history, apply radiation safety practices, and produce diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. The role requires independent work in an emergency department–focused environment and participation in stroke protocols when applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
• Valid VA state licensure required.
• BLS certification required prior to patient care.
• Minimum 1 year of experience performing both CT and X-ray required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care required.
• Experience working in an Emergency Department setting required.
• Experience with GE CT and GE X-ray equipment required.
• Ability to work independently and follow established protocols.
• Experience with starting IVs preferred. ER nurses can offer support.
• Experience with stroke protocol (Level I/II) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited radiologic technology program preferred.
• Additional modality certifications (e.g., CT) preferred or ability to obtain as required.
• Experience with EPIC, PACS, and RIS preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift operates nights, with primary scheduled shifts on Thursday through Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• No on-call requirement.
• Every other major holiday coverage required.
• Primarily services Emergency Department patients with some inpatient and outpatient scans.
• Typical scans per shift vary, approximately 5–20.
• Must be prepared to work independently and potentially float within the facility as needed.
