Vice President, People & Culture
A respected Florida-based hospitality organization is seeking a Vice President, People & Culture to help lead the next chapter of growth for a diverse portfolio of hospitality, restaurant, guest service, and commercial service businesses. This opportunity is part of a long-term succession plan for a highly successful HR executive who has spent more than two decades helping to build the company's culture, leadership foundation, and people strategy.
As the organization prepares for significant growth and expansion, we are seeking a strategic, people-first leader who can partner directly with ownership and executive leadership to shape the company's future.
This is not a traditional corporate HR role.
We are looking for a builder, a coach, and a trusted advisor who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and enjoys helping organizations evolve while preserving the culture that made them successful.
About the Role
As Vice President, People & Culture, you will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic guidance on talent, culture, organizational development, workforce planning, employee relations, and leadership development. You will inherit a strong HR foundation and experienced team while helping refine systems, improve organizational effectiveness, and prepare the company for future growth. This role offers significant autonomy, executive visibility, and the opportunity to directly influence business strategy and long-term organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with ownership, executive leadership, and board-level stakeholders
- Lead all Human Resources functions across multiple operating divisions
- Drive employee relations, leadership coaching, and workforce planning initiatives
- Develop succession planning and leadership development programs
- Support organizational design and talent management strategies
- Evaluate and improve HR systems, policies, and processes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Guide culture-building and employee engagement initiatives
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the organization
- Build scalable people strategies that support future growth
Ideal Background
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience
- Experience supporting multi-unit hospitality, restaurant, service, retail, or field-based organizations
- Strong employee relations and conflict resolution experience
- Experience partnering directly with CEOs, executive teams, and ownership groups
- Demonstrated success in developing leaders and building organizational culture
- Experience improving systems, processes, and organizational effectiveness
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
Preferred Experience
- Upscale hospitality Restaurants.
- Experience within privately held or founder-led organizations
- Multi-location leadership experience
- Florida employment law knowledge
- Experience supporting organizations with 500+ employees
Compensation & Benefits
- $175,000 – $200,000 Base Salary
