Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist ensures that materials and merchandise are accurately monitored, maintained, and recorded within a modern manufacturing environment. This role focuses on inventory control, stock rotation, and timely replenishment of parts and finished goods to support smooth daily operations and production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain material, inventory, and related records to ensure accuracy and availability.
• Perform daily activities to control and track inventory of merchandise and materials.
• Evaluate inventory levels and promptly notify the purchasing clerk when reorders are required.
• Maintain detailed inventory records and prepare regular reports on stock levels and movements.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and participate in comprehensive monthly inventory counts.
• Ensure proper inventory levels and accuracy on the shop floor to support production needs.
• Refill carts on a daily basis with required parts and materials for the next days work.
• Place parts and finished goods on shelves and in bins in an organized and timely manner.
• Receive inventory daily from shipping and receiving and update bin labels with accurate counts.
• Perform stock rotation and maintain lot separation for all items in inventory to ensure traceability.
• Support shipping and receiving activities as needed, including picking parts and packing orders.
• Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely to move inventory within the facility.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of prior working experience in a warehouse, shipping and receiving, inventory control, or order fulfillment environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on experience with inventory control processes, including cycle counts and stock level monitoring.
• Experience in material handling and working with merchandise or production materials.
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including verifying and processing incoming inventory.
• Ability to pick parts and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and basic data entry for maintaining inventory records.
• Capability to operate pallet jacks and similar material handling equipment safely.
• Physical ability to stand for most of the workday and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, labeling, and recording inventory.
• Organizational skills to maintain orderly shelves, bins, and carts.
• Ability to manage stock rotation and lot separation to support quality and traceability requirements.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with purchasing, shipping and receiving, and production teams.
• Reliability and flexibility to work occasional overtime, including some Saturdays and extended shifts.

Work Environment

This role is based inside a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed for comfort and productivity. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime expected at least one Saturday a month and occasional additional hours at the end of shifts as needed. You will spend the majority of the day standing and performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. The environment is focused on efficient inventory flow between shipping, receiving, and the shop floor, with clearly organized shelves, bins, and carts to support daily production.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellabell, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
