Details 16-bed ER with 1 trauma bay and 4 fast-track beds High volume of stroke and STEMI patients supported by a 24/7 cath lab Frequent MVC trauma cases along with a high psychiatric and geriatric patient population Also treats pediatric patients Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Full time, 13-week contract assignment Requirements Active RN license in TX or compact BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only) TNCC certification required 1 year of experience in emergency nursing preferred BSN preferred Additional Information Provide independent nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers Delegate and make appropriate assignments to other care providers as needed Temp-to-perm opportunity available if department openings exist at end of contract Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must have a 6-month separation period across the entire health system before being eligible for a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-739185.
