Treasury Management‑Sales & Payments Officer Sr Location: New York, NY 10018 Job Summary A Senior Treasury Management Sales & Payments Advisor, focuses on the most complex new business generation for prospects and existing clients in conjunction with a banking relationship team. Acts as primary TM Advisor on opportunities, helping clients optimize their working capital management through utilization of the bank’s TM solutions. This role includes localized market knowledge and specialty segments supported within the Commercial and Private bank. Collaboration with relationship management, client service, product leadership and implementation teams is critical to success. Job Responsibilities New business development activities including calling efforts, joint sales opportunities and revenue generation. Maintains professional level (C‑suite) calling efforts to develop new and existing client relationships. Creates proactive and strategic dialogues with team members and potential clients surrounding TM industry issues, providing best practices, advice and recommendations to position the bank’s TM solutions. Determines and manages non‑credit related risk for customer portfolio related to TM solutions. Calculates and advises internal team regarding TM service profitability for each customer. Collaborates with the RM team on recommendations for clients. Deposit relationship management and deposit acquisition. Manages existing client portfolio, performing relationship reviews, servicing clients and increasing product cross‑sell opportunities. Generates proposals, responds to RFPs and coordinates the implementation of new clients and services. Participates and provides leadership representation to the market, prospects, and clients regarding solutions through client roundtables, industry conferences, in‑person meetings, webinars and social media platforms. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training and maintains knowledge of and adherence to Flagstar’s internal compliance policies and procedures. Additional Accountabilities Performs special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required. Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job and completes required compliance trainings. Job Requirements Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) or equivalent work experience. Minimum experience required: 10+ years in a treasury sales role. Preferred Qualifications Education level preferred: Master’s Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent). Certified Treasury Professional designation (CTP) is strongly preferred. Job Competencies Demonstrates expert knowledge and understanding of treasury management products and services. Applies expert understanding of business cash flows, accounting processes and financial optimization. Applies expert understanding of value propositions related to treasury management applications within a corporate treasury environment. Excellent understanding of both business and banking regulations such as UCC, Reg CC, Reg E and regulatory guidance/oversight. Expert sales/negotiation aptitude and the ability to tactfully communicate at a senior executive level. Maintains senior level contact with top clients and high priority prospects. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to think both creatively and strategically when devising a client solution. Possesses strong aptitude for time management, organization and ability to manage multiple initiatives successfully. Ability to prepare, present and direct client proposals. Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources to resolve a service challenge or develop a solution. Demonstrates strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross‑functional insights. Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience. Fosters or supports a positive work culture and productive work environment, displaying importance of effective relationships with customers and stakeholders. 50% travel to client offices, prospects, branches and various functions is a requirement of the position.
