Project Controller

Work location: Quebec City, Quebec, CA Laval, Quebec, CA Position overview: Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) is looking for a project controller in the field of urban and transportation infrastructure. Working on this project, you will be part of our growing team in infrastructure design, which includes professionals with varied profiles in civil engineering (hydraulic, urban infrastructure, structures, and geotechnical), water engineering, geological, or other related disciplines. The position offers professionals an opportunity to evolve in a multidisciplinary, collaborative, and constructability-oriented environment. The Quebec Tramway project, executed under the progressive design-build model, represents a major initiative in transportation infrastructure, at the heart of Quebec City. To guide the realization of this project, Kiewit is looking for qualified professionals eager to put their expertise at the service of civil engineering works of this large-scale project. The selected individuals will have the opportunity to play a central role in the development and implementation of this unique project in Canada, contributing to the development and construction of essential infrastructures for sustainable urban mobility within a particularly motivating environment. Location: The position is located at our offices in Quebec City or Laval. The position may be eligible for remote work according to the experience and autonomy of the candidate.

Responsibilities: Implement and maintain project cost tracking tools (budgets, forecasts, expenses). Manage quantity take-offs to support earned values (EVM) and material procurement. Track and provide visibility of quantity changes, from estimation to project completion. Coordinate the creation and update of an integrated schedule with the planner's collaboration. Analyze schedule and productivity variances, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Work closely with design, construction, estimating, and finance teams to ensure an integrated view of the project.

Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in engineering or construction, ideally 1 to 2 years in project control and/or planning. Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or related field. Additional project management training (PMP, or equivalent) is an asset. Exposure to multi-stakeholder environments (client, engineering, construction, estimating, finance) is desirable. Excellent analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills, leadership, and organization. Knowledge of transportation or rail projects is an asset. Proficiency in French (spoken and written). Functional knowledge of English (written and spoken) is considered an asset as mobility and collaboration between Canadian provinces is required.
