Their connections to our guests and to each other are what separates SusieCakes from other bakeries.The Market Leader oversees a group of bakeries, driving operational and financial results and guest satisfaction by leading, developing and inspiring bakery teams.ResponsibilitiesOperationsEnsures bakeries operate flawlessly and deliver on the Annual Operating PlanBuilds genuine guest connections, delivers world class hospitality and holds teams to the same standardConducts regular bakery visits to check product quality, presentation, production and team standardsPeopleDevelops quarterly staffing plans for each bakery based on forecasted salesRecruits, selects and retains managers and team members who reflect our standards and valuesBuilds succession plans and develops high-potential team membersCompletes performance reviews and coaches, counsels and holds teams accountable, including disciplinary action when neededLeads market-wide training to support team member development and career growthFinancialOwns the P&L for their bakeries, driving sales and managing costsCoaches and motivates teams to hit sales, labor and cost of goods goalsContributes to the budget planning processApproves labor schedules and bi-weekly payroll in line with sales forecasts and labor budgetsSafety and R&MEnsures proper safety procedures are being followedMaintains a clean and sanitary environment in accordance with bakery and health department standardsEnsures pest elimination and chemical safety standards are consistently maintainedMonitors and advises on unscheduled bakery maintenance as neededCommunicationReviews leadership meeting minutes and follows up as neededReads bakery communications daily and follows up as appropriateLeadership Attributes:Leads with integrity and high ethical standardsCreates an environment that engages and develops team membersTakes personal accountability and holds team members to the same standardSolution-oriented and plans ahead for staffing and market needsQualifications:5-8 years of multi-unit management experience10-15 years of business experience, preferably with luxury brands in hospitality, food service and/or retailExperience building budgets, setting targets and business planningProven operations track record in a fast-paced, growing environmentSchedule flexibility to meet business needsProficient in Microsoft OfficeUp to 20% overnight travelPhysical Requirements:Frequent walking, kneeling, bending and reaching overheadAble to stand for extended periods of timeAble to safely use bakery equipmentAble to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAble to taste products for quality assuranceMust have reliable transportationEducation:Undergraduate degree in business or hospitality management preferredWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
