Job Summary We are seeking a Tax Associate to work as a TurboTax Live Seasonal Local Service Associate across the United States on a seasonal basis. This role combines tax expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and community engagement to help customers navigate their tax needs while supporting Intuit’s mission of “Powering Prosperity Around the World.” About the Role Work on-site from a TurboTax location serving customers both in-person and virtually. Provide full-service tax return preparation, tax advice, calculations, and product support. Handle simple W‑2 filings as well as complex scenarios such as business income, amendments, and investments. Grow TurboTax’s client base within the local community, establish long‑term relationships, and drive customer loyalty. What You’ll Do Provide tax expertise, giving hands‑on tax advice and completing preparation services for TurboTax clients. Manage simple to complex situations and facilitate discovery sessions. Act as a proactive community ambassador and local face of TurboTax, cultivating a robust customer base through outreach and local events. Educate and communicate confidently, representing TurboTax in learning events and local marketing efforts. Build relationships, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity to financial concerns to create long‑term trust. Deliver a best‑in‑class customer experience, interacting in‑person and via video communication tools, addressing inquiries and overcoming tax‑related challenges. Who You Are Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law. Minimum 2 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 returns per tax season using professional software. Familiarity with Circular 230. Will and available to work a static weekly schedule, minimum 24 hours per week at a TurboTax location. Interest in building a local/online social presence, creating accessible tax‑related content. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus. Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond filing. Compensation Competitive compensation package plus performance rewards.
