Skaalen Retirement Services is seeking a motivated and compassionate Wellness Coordinator to provide fitness, exercise, and wellness programming for our residents and community members.

What You’ll Do

· Lead and deliver safe, engaging wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.

· Support residents and participants in achieving individual wellness and fitness goals.

· Monitor participation and progress and maintain accurate documentation.

· Identify opportunities to improve existing programs and help develop new services.

· Promote wellness programs and encourage participation and enrollment.

· Monitor fitness equipment and supplies and recommend improvements as needed.

· Participate in community presentations and activities that promote Skaalen’s wellness services.

· Follow established procedures and participate in quality improvement activities.

· Collaborate positively with coworkers and other members of the care team.

What We’re Looking For

· High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in exercise science, wellness, health, or a related field preferred.

· Certification as a personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health/fitness specialist, COTA, PTA, or in a related field preferred.

· Current lifeguard certification or willingness to obtain one.

· Experience working with or providing fitness/activity programs for older adults preferred.

· Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

· Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.

· Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
