Warehouse Associate Team Lead

Pay: $26.00–$29.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate Team Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced manufacturing/distribution environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient material handling while supporting inventory control, production, and shipping operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong warehouse experience, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse associates to meet productivity, quality, and customer service goals.
• Train, mentor, and coach team members on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety standards.
• Assign daily work priorities and monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse associates, resolving issues and providing day-to-day guidance.
• Provide performance feedback and communicate staffing or operational needs to management.
• Enforce OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, forklift safety practices, and hazardous materials procedures.

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee receiving, picking, stocking, kitting, and inventory movement to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, physical inventories, and discrepancy investigations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Partner with Inventory, Production, Purchasing, and Shipping teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Serve as acting warehouse supervisor when management is unavailable.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
• Support warehouse organization initiatives, including 5S and workflow improvements.
• Assist with implementing new procedures, equipment, or warehouse technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of warehouse leadership experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Current forklift certification and demonstrated experience safely operating forklifts.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
• Thorough understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling best practices.
• Experience using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); experience with JobBoss2 is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications or technical training are a plus.
