Job Posting: COMMERCIAL VEHICLE INSPECTION SPECIALIST (JC-519636) Location: Cottonwood Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CCVEF), Sacramento, CA Salary: $4,102.00 – $6,121.00 per month (classification A and B). New to state candidates hired at minimum salary. Permanent, Full‑time. Final filing date: 6/9/2026 Responsibilities • Perform commercial vehicle, driver, and hazardous materials inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and the California Vehicle Code. • Work under the direction of a California Highway Patrol Officer and supervision of assigned Sergeants at the CCVEF. Minimum Requirements Drug screening, background investigation, and medical clearance required before hiring. Meet the Minimum Qualifications listed in the Classification Specification (additional qualifications will be considered). Desirable Qualifications Professional demeanor, tactful interaction, punctual, reliable, mature with excellent attendance, ability to work independently.
