About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission-driven organization at a pivotal time of evolution and growth. The successful candidate will be the chief executive and strategic leader, working in close partnership with the Board of Directors, staff, community members, and external stakeholders. This role requires a visionary and operationally strong leader who can oversee organizational strategy, operations, fundraising, advocacy, financial management, and external relations. The Executive Director will be responsible for fostering a culture of equity, collaboration, transparency, and shared leadership, and must be prepared to navigate the complex public health and policy environment in which the organization operates. The ideal Executive Director for the company will have a deep commitment to harm reduction principles, anti-oppression, and leadership by people with lived experience. They should be adept at inspiring trust both internally and externally, and be dedicated to the organization's core values of meeting people where they are with compassion, respect, and evidence-based care. This is an opportunity to lead a nationally recognized voice in harm reduction, with a focus on preserving the community-rooted and client-centered culture that has defined the organization for decades. The role is not just about managing the present but also about building pathways for sustainable growth and innovation in the future.
