Special Education Teacher CBAP Program (leave replacement 7/15/26-1/31/27)

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Oak Street Elementary School for a temporary leave replacement position from July 15, 2026, to January 31, 2027. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs within the CBAP (Comprehensive Behavioral Assessment and Planning) program. This role requires collaboration with staff, parents, and community resources to create a nurturing and inclusive educational environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students within the CBAP program. Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly. Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning. Provide direct instruction in academic and social skills to students with varying disabilities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, behavior, and IEP compliance. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in special education practices. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, empathy, and independence among students. Implement behavioral interventions and strategies to support students in achieving their academic and social goals. Requirements Valid state certification in Special Education. Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in an elementary school setting. Knowledge of CBAP programs and strategies for supporting students with behavioral challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff. Ability to create and maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction and communication.
