API 653 Inspector

ROSEN USA, based in Houston, TX seeks to employ a API 653 Certified Tank Inspector for the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) business segment who is career minded with a high level of professionalism to conduct inspections throughout Northern, Central America and the Caribbean. This position requires individuals to provide exceptional customer service, inspection of above-ground storage tanks and prepare and submit inspection reports in accordance to API 653 standards. Responsibilities: Perform API 653 inspections per customer’s scope of work and Rosen’s internal process and procedures. The NDT Inspector will be responsible for preparing and finalizing inspection reports. This person will be assisting customers and field personnel in the preparation, set up and maintaining paperwork connected with each project. Ideal individual will be prepared to progress rapidly in order to advance to levels requiring more knowledge of the basic tool functions. The onsite description will be either at a refinery or a tank farm. Inspection work is to be done 70% of the time inside an aboveground storage tank. Wall thickness measurements of tank structure and components. REQUIREMENTS Physical Demands: Frequently lift and/or move greater than 50 pounds and/or lift greater than 180 lbs. with help of one person Must be able to work on hands and knees and crawl into tight spaces Must be able to work in environment with extreme heat or cold temperatures Ability to work in limited lighting Potential to work in elevated heights Qualification or Skills: Must hold a API 653 Certification Extended periods of travel > 60-70% Maintain a valid US Passport 2yr Degree in Mechanical or Electronic discipline or equivalent work experience.
