Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-to-senior-level Business Associate in Chicago, IL, to enhance its Energy Credit practice. This role involves advising on structuring, financing, and developing renewable energy projects. Candidates with significant experience in renewable energy tax credits are encouraged to apply. Duties Advise developers, investors, and lenders on renewable energy projects. Review and draft transaction documents and agreements. Conduct due diligence and coordinate transaction closings. Manage multiple sophisticated financing transactions simultaneously. Requirements 4-7 years of experience in renewable energy tax credit transactions. Experience with tax-advantaged investment structures. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Education J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in the state of Illinois or eligibility for admission. Skills Experience in renewable energy project finance and tax credit transactions. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
