Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly technical Test Engineer with strong software testing, coding, debugging, and data analysis experience. The ideal candidate will have a software-driven background in robotics, autonomy, gaming, startups, mechanical engineering debugging, or software engineering .

This role will focus on analyzing issues from daily testing, creating test suites, managing test configurations and infrastructure, performing root-cause analysis, and working closely with software development teams to improve product quality.

• Analyze issues identified during daily testing and perform end-to-end problem analysis.

• Conduct issue triage, root-cause analysis, issue categorization, reporting, and summaries .

• Create and maintain test suites and test configurations.

• Manage infrastructure required for executing tests.

• Analyze test accuracy and identify root causes of inaccurate test results.

• Analyze software changes and develop appropriate testing strategies.

• Work closely with development teams to understand functional design and software behavior.

• Develop documentation and tools supporting issue analysis.

• Collect and analyze test data from routine testing.

• Provide feedback on software performance based on testing and analysis.

• Perform daily operational activities including triage, reporting, and issue tracking.

• Support continuous improvement of software testing processes and automation.

• 2+ years of professional experience

• Strong hands-on Python experience

• Strong C++ and SQL experience

• Strong coding experience in a software-driven environment

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Experience creating and executing software test suites

• Experience with test infrastructure/configuration

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Ability to understand, clarify, and troubleshoot technical requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

  • Computer Science

  • Software Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Aerospace Engineering

  • Physics

  • Related technical field

The client is specifically looking for candidates who can analyze software behavioral changes , perform hands-on debugging, write strong Python/SQL code, and understand software testing requirements.
