Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Coverage Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a patient population that includes Hematology, Medical Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), and Gynecologic & Surgical Oncology patients
• Work within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, including care within a 7-bed positive pressure wing for BMT and acute leukemia patients
• Assist with and support bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
• Administer medications using barcode medication administration and Alaris IV pumps integrated with Epic
• Operate unit equipment including SCD machines and Alaris feeding pumps
• Float to other units as required per facility float policy

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Oncology nursing specialty
• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• NURSYS report for RN must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Must meet travel compliance distance requirement (greater than 65 miles from facility)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers also encouraged to apply
