• Pay Rate: $70.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)

Job Summary

This is an ICU travel nursing role based in Utica, NY with a June 15th start. The position requires documented travel nursing experience and specialized ICU background. The unit is a 42-bed ICU (East 20, West 22) encompassing Neuro/Med (22 beds), CTICU (6 beds), and Surg/Trauma (14 beds).

Key Responsibilities

• Work within the ICU unit managing patients across Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma specialties
• Manage common patient diagnoses including Neuro/Med – Strokes, Sepsis, AMS, Neuro Intervention (TCAR), Resp Failure, CHF, and Post Stemi
• Manage CTICU diagnoses including CV surgery, Cardiogenic Shock, and AAA; Surg/Trauma diagnoses including Trauma and Major post-op surgeries
• Operate and manage specialty equipment used on unit: IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage), Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM (Artic Sun)
• Float to all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding) as needed
• Wear Navy scrubs per unit dress code

Required Skills

• Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex
• EMR experience required: EPIC

Preferred Skills

• Heart experience highly preferred — Manager is looking at these candidates as priority

Education Requirements

• Active NY RN License (verified via NURSYS Report)
• ALL active RN licenses must be verified via NURSYS Report
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU
• Travel nursing experience required
• 2 recent ICU Charge/Manager RN references required
• Skills Checklist matching specialty required

• Floating required to all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding)
