Structured around our four key pillars - Private Equity, Real Assets, Corporate Transactions and Investment Management & Reporting - we provide a broad range of tax services to our clients that include fund structuring and advisory, M&A, investment lifecycle advisory and provision of local and global compliance and reporting obligations. We are market-leading and have deep industry knowledge.

Our Infrastructure Tax team delivers on some of the largest investment in European infrastructure and works with the largest infrastructure funds.

Our Directors take the lead on delivering key parts of our client services. As a Director you will use your commercial awareness and professional expertise, along with leveraging the skills and expertise of others, to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for our clients. You will own and manage key elements of a client relationship and will be expected to proactively identify innovative solutions for your clients and pursue new business development opportunities by utilising your networks and market knowledge.

Our Directors are people managers or act as coaches and role models to the more junior members of their team. You will be a confident team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise with others, as well as continuing to build your own technical expertise or specialism.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of comprehensive tax structuring and tax advisory services to UK and international infrastructure and energy businesses with over the investment lifecycle, managing a portfolio of high-profile clients and projects;
• Working closely with Infrastructure focussed M&A Partners, owning and managing client relationships and proactively identify solutions for your clients and pursue new business development opportunities by utilising your networks (internal and externally) and market knowledge;
• To have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture;
• You will be a confident team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise with others. Su pporting the development of team members, acting as a coach and role model , as well as continuing to build your own technical expertise or specialism.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

• ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification or experience;
• Exposure to international clients;
• Prior M&A, UK Corporation Tax and infrastructure advisory experience gained in a professional services firm is preferred;
• Excellent communication and project management skills;
• Proven track record in client relationship & stakeholder management.
• Experience of managing diverse teams and collaborating with specialists and other internal teams or external client-side advisers.
• The ability to analyse information, identify issues and prioritise them.

Tax

Our comprehensive range of services encompasses everything from the completion of tax returns (corporation tax self-assessment) to complex consultancy assignments and strategic tax planning. We advise on corporate and general tax, international M&A, stamp tax, cross-border transfer pricing, reorganisations and reconstructions, and competent authority negotiations.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
