Registered Nurse - Home Health

Schedule

Day shift, 8:00 AM start. Weekend requirement of 1 full weekend plus 1 additional weekend shift every 6 weeks. Flexibility in scheduling is required.

Assignment Details

Expect a daily patient census of 5-6 patients. Orientation is 40 hours.

Requirements

• Active RN license in California
• 2 years of home health experience with high-volume caseloads
• Minimum 1 year of previous home health travel experience
• Recent OASIS experience required; OASIS exam must be completed prior to the interview
• BLS certification required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Strong skills in wound care, IV therapy, medication administration, and various patient care techniques
• Must provide two supervisor-level references from the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Conducting start-of-care and resumption of care assessments
• Performing OASIS assessments and documentation
• Managing wound care, including V.A.C. therapy and pressure ulcer staging
• Administering IV therapy and performing PICC dressing changes
• Providing ostomy care and managing urinary catheters and feeding tubes
• Conducting medication administration, assessment, and phlebotomy
• Monitoring oxygen and nebulizer therapy, as well as pain assessment

Compliance / Notes

Must complete 8-hour shifts unless otherwise approved, and all requirements for onboarding and orientation must be fulfilled.
