Business Development Executive | Bay Area Walnut Creek, CA | Hybrid + Field Based Throughout the Bay Area $100,000–$150,000 Base Uncapped Commission | Full Time Build relationships. Hunt for opportunities. Own the market. NOW CFO is looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to drive growth across the Bay Area. This is not a desk sales role. We’re looking for a market hunter who wants to be out building relationships, opening doors, developing referral partnerships, and creating new business. While this position is based in Walnut Creek , your territory is the entire Bay Area . You’ll regularly travel throughout the market to meet with prospects, clients, referral partners, and other business leaders wherever opportunities arise. You’ll have the autonomy to build your network, develop your territory, and represent NOW CFO with business owners, CFOs, investors, and other influential leaders across the region. What You’ll Do Hunt for and develop new business opportunities throughout the Bay Area Build relationships with CFOs, CEOs, business owners, investors, and senior executives Develop referral partnerships with CPA firms, banks, private equity and venture capital firms, attorneys, and other Centers of Influence Prospect consistently through networking, referrals, events, direct outreach, and strategic partnerships Get in front of decision makers and turn relationships into qualified opportunities Maintain disciplined follow up and manage a strong, active pipeline Attend networking events, industry gatherings, and meetings throughout the Bay Area Identify organizations that could benefit from NOW CFO’s accounting, finance, and strategic consulting services Own opportunities from initial conversation through close Partner with local leadership and consultants to develop the right solutions for clients Participate in the proposal development process in collaboration with technical resources Who We’re Looking For You’re a hunter, relationship builder, and connector who knows how to create opportunities rather than wait for them. Ideally, you bring: 5+ years of business development, outside sales, consultative sales, or relationship driven experience An established network or meaningful business relationships within the Bay Area A proven track record of prospecting, developing relationships, and generating new revenue An existing network of business owners, CFOs/Controllers, private equity or venture capital contacts, and/or referral partners such as CPA firms, banks, attorneys, and other Centers of Influence A background in accounting, finance, or an accounting/finance consulting or audit firm is a plus Strong prospecting instincts with disciplined and consistent follow up Confidence navigating longer, relationship driven sales cycles Strong pipeline management and CRM discipline The ability and willingness to regularly travel throughout the entire Bay Area, including into the city of San Francisco , to build relationships and pursue new business opportunities Why NOW CFO Uncapped commission with additional upside Significant ownership of the Bay Area market Autonomy to build your territory and network Hybrid flexibility with an emphasis on being out where business happens Access to an experienced team of accounting and finance professionals Health benefits and 401(k) Long term growth opportunities with a nationwide financial consulting organization If you’re energized by hunting for opportunities, building influential relationships, growing a market, and winning new business , we’d love to talk.
