Data Engineer
Interview: Video Visa: USC, GC, GC EAD, H4, L2 Contractor will need to be onsite for the first 2 weeks of the engagement, and then 2 days per month after that. If candidate is not local, they will need to make travel arrangements to be onsite for the designated 2 days.
Description: Ideally, a hands-on data engineer who possesses a strong passion for designing, optimizing, refactoring, and upgrading complex data solutions! MOTOR's primary product is Automotive Content, and we need someone who can help us design and model new databases (Neo4j Graph Database), design and code ETLs, and implement automated data pipelines. Required Experience (Must Have)
- Strong Neo4j Graph Database Experience (Minimum Two Years of Experience)
- Demonstrated Hands-on Development
- Expert in Graph Modeling
- Expert in Ingestion
- Expert in Cypher / APOC
- Strong ETL Experience (Minimum Two Years of Experience)
- Kettle and/or Apache Hop, SSIS, Talend
- Minimum One Year of Experience Ingesting Data into Neo4j
- Strong Automation Experience
- Experience with Linux
Helpful Experience (Nice to Have)
- Experience with AWS
- Lambda Functions
- Step Functions / State Machines
- Fargate / Containers
- S3 / Data Lake
- Experience with Git and Azure DevOps
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD (CloudFormation)
- Experience with Larger Data Sets (Multiple Terabytes)
- Experience with Automotive Data / Industry
- Experience with Agile / Scrum
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze large, and complex, data sets
- Design, develop and coordinate the generation of ETL data pipelines
- Model complex data sets in Graph technology (Neo4j)
- Work collaboratively with team to plan and solve complex problems
- Design for, or optimize existing pipelines, for performance
