Details Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting Full time day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM 13-week assignment length Requirements Active RN license in Texas or compact required Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only) Current NRP certification required Current AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certification required 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred Perinatal RN Residency or recent perinatal setting experience preferred Additional Information Provides nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients Administers medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Completion of annual competency verification requirements expected Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility American Traveler Job ID P-745459.
