Anesthesiologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

• The Anesthesiologist assists in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
• Care for patients in ICU, short stay unit, acute pain management, and emergency airway management
• The Anesthesiologist provides clinical anesthesiology services and patient care pre- and post-op.
• Monitors patients while in surgery.
• Reviews medical files and lab results.
• The Anesthesiologist informs patients about risks associated with anesthesia.

Anesthesiologist - REQUIREMENTS

• Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of recent experience.
• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia as per ECFMC and FLEX requirements.
• Current licensure as a Physician and possess of a current license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
