Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Psychiatric Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years acute care experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, CPI or AVADE Must-Have: 1 year of acute care experience Description: The unit consists of 35 semi-private beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio can be up to 1:9. Common patient populations include those with schizophrenia, major depression, and bipolar disorder. This position requires working five 8-hour night shifts with a weekend requirement of every other weekend. There is no call requirement for this role. Navy scrubs are required for all staff. The facility utilizes the Cerner charting system. The hospital has a cancellation policy that allows for cancellation of up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. This role requires the ability to float to other areas as needed. Management will conduct interviews for this position.
