Our award-winning seating solutions are developed from consumer research, finding the ease of operation to be comfortable, convenient and connected.Job ResponsibilitiesRequired Education/Certification/Licensure :High school diploma or equivalent required.Trade school certification as an Industrial/Electrician/Millwright or Industrial/Mechanic preferred.Journey worker certification preferred.Required Experience :Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience as a Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing environment.Experience operating a powered industrial truck and aerial lift (testing and certification to be administered by Magna Seating Detroit).Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :Working knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical (up to 480 volt), PLC (Allen Bradley preferred), and robotic systems (Fanuc preferred).Fabrication experience, including blueprint reading/interpretation, machining (lathe, Bridgeport, and bandsaw), and welding.Ability to interpret & apply measurements in both the Imperial and Metric systems; ability to use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and measuring tape.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to electro-mechanical systems.Ability to read/understand ladder logic PLC systems preferred.Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and shop tools.Basic computer skills, including e-mail management and task management software.Ability to work in a team environment; good communication and time management skills.Ability to take initiative and work under limited supervision.Awareness, Unity, EmpowermentAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
