Litigation Attorney (US)

Role Overview

Apply your litigation expertise to create practical, deliverable-quality legal work product that helps evaluate and improve advanced AI systems. You will handle simulated commercial disputes under senior attorney direction, producing meticulous, partner-ready drafts as case theories and fact patterns evolve. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft assigned litigation materials turn by turn, including motions, briefs, demand letters, and discovery documents.
• Develop and maintain a coherent case theory and litigation posture throughout simulated disputes, responding to opposing-counsel developments.
• Produce work tailored to commercial contract, shareholder/LLC, and commercial real estate litigation contexts.
• Incorporate detailed senior-attorney feedback promptly and revise drafts to project specifications with minimal redirection.
• Create rubric items for each submission that identify the qualities of a strong legal response.
• Flag procedural ambiguities, missing facts, and substantive issues for escalation to project leads.
• Follow senior attorney direction for each drafting assignment in a collaborative mentor-mentee workflow.

Qualifications

• Active or lapsed bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction and a Juris Doctor degree.
• At least 3 years of post-JD litigation experience, including hands-on drafting, discovery, and motion practice.
• Demonstrated ability to draft effective documents for commercial contract, shareholder/LLC, or commercial real estate disputes.
• Native-level English proficiency, strong legal writing skills, and command of legal register.
• Ability to work efficiently to prescribed specifications and integrate feedback quickly.
• Law-firm experience, including BigLaw, boutique, or mid-market firms, is preferred.
• Experience across multiple listed matter types, federal court practice, or AI model training or evaluation is a plus.

Work Terms

• Remote independent contractor engagement for candidates located in the United States.
• Compensation is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications; completion time varies by experience and workflow.
• Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum number of tasks each week.
• Roles are typically filled within 48 hours. Selected candidates should be ready to complete onboarding and begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours afterward.

Compensation

$100 to $150 per hour.
