ESEA Program Specialist

Job Overview The Office of Federal Programs seeks candidates committed to improving district and school performance and raising student achievement through federal programs. Major Responsibilities and Duties Determine school district allocations, both formula and competitive, for the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) and other federal programs. Provide support to internal and external stakeholders on ESEA and other federal laws, guidance, and state and federal budget and accounting principles. Ensure efficient implementation of federal laws within districts. Assist districts in receiving and utilizing federal ESEA and other funds. Assist districts in completing applications for federal funds and reviewing approvals. Assist districts with operating the e‑grant planning and funding application (CCIP) and other systems used to administer and implement the consolidated application. Conduct training for stakeholders on federal ESEA laws, regulations, department operational systems, and office strategies and policies. Research, compile data, interpret, and complete reports regarding state and federal laws. Evaluations and Monitoring Prepare reports on district compliance with federal laws and regulations. Conduct desk and onsite audits to monitor compliance. General Duties Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Administrator or Assistant Administrator. Qualifications Six years of experience in any combination of: Providing technical assistance/support related to federal grants (implementation, monitoring, interpretation). Education administration. Managing business best practices and initiatives to ensure financial compliance (auditing, financial management, resource allocation). Compensation $34.28 - $50.65 Schedule Full‑time Work Hours 8 am to 5 pm Location United States of America – Ohio – Franklin County – Columbus Union
