Overview Job Location: NAPCO Precast SA - San Antonio, TX 78250 Salary Range: $28.00 - $30.00 Hourly SUMMARY Key duties include performing quantity takeoffs, obtaining pricing, preparing bids, and collaborating with project teams, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. Analyze specifications, project plans, and blueprints to create accurate cost estimates for precast concrete projects by calculating material, labor, and production costs construction/fabrication calculations and documents for a variety of building types. Responsibilities Analyze project documents: Review blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements Review all bid documents and prepare accurate estimate of project’s cost. Implement 3D modeling to provide accurate take-off, sufficient details for estimating and future drafting by D&E Check engineering design calculations, engineered drawings/details, and production drawings of others for accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company standards Assemble takeoff quantities, erection quotes and specialty material/labor prices for use with bid estimate spreadsheets to prepare total cost of project. Coordinate and communicate with all other internal and external teams Prepare sales proposal for client or salesman based on approved bid estimate Consolidate and finalize estimating data in turnover meeting to project management and Engineering for successful estimates that become jobs. Qualifications Able to read construction documents including drawings and specifications. Worked with AutoCAD, MS Excel and MS Word. Able to perform under pressure and meet bid date deadlines. Strong communication skills Organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize assignments Analytical thinker with above average problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Educational & Experience Requirements College degree or comparable years experience 1-3 or more years of experience estimating In the precast concrete industry preferred Physical Requirements Must be able to perform office administrative activities Must be able to lift and move up to 20 lbs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
