THE POSITION

The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVS) is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 at the Delaware Valley Veterans' Home. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position performs skilled maintenance and repair work to support safe, functional, and well-maintained facility conditions. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Painting Work: Prepare surfaces and complete interior and exterior painting throughout the facility
• Plumbing Repairs: Install and fix sinks, valves, heaters, and a variety of pipe systems
• Carpentry Skills: Remodel rooms, hang drywall, repair doors, replace windows, and complete finish tasks
• Electrical Tasks: Install circuits, lighting, switches, and maintain fire and security systems
• Concrete Masonry: Mix and pour concrete, lay block and brick, and repair masonry surfaces
• System Servicing: Maintain heating and cooling units, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and automated building controls

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
• Travel as needed
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirement:

• You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Additional Requirement:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
