Lab Technologist

Actively Interviewing for Lab Technologist - Night Shift to join medical laboratory in Norcross, GA! Description + Responsible to perform laboratory testing assigned to the department. + Maintain knowledge of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required to perform effectively. + Maintain excellent communication with the Department and other Laboratory Services personnel. + Competently perform all assigned departmental duties. May perform Pre-Analytical tasks (receipt, qualification, and preparation of samples for testing), CLIA waived tests, and moderate and/or high complexity testing on patient, donors, or biologic products using routine chemistries utilizing automated / semi-automated methods with internal support systems. + Recognize and report unusual test results in a timely manner to appropriate management. + Operate equipment utilizing established protocols and within quality control limits. + Recognize equipment malfunctions and/or technical problems and take appropriate steps to resolve. + Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Prepare and maintain reports/records and perform computer data entry. + Maintain departmental supplies within established inventory levels. Qualifications + Bachelors Degree within the Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry. + Experience working within a lab preferred. Can be academic or industry. + Attention to detail Work Environment This position is an overnight position from Sunday - Tuesday with a rotational Wednesday or Thursday - Saturday with a rotational Wednesday from 7pm -7:30am. Training will be 4-5 weeks on the day shift (timing might vary). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Norcross, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
