We handle motor vehicle accident cases with a structured, team‑based approach: a dedicated pre‑litigation team moves cases through demand and negotiation, and when insurers don’t pay fair value, we file suit. That’s where you come in. We are building out our litigation department and looking for an attorney who genuinely wants to litigate — someone who is energized by the courtroom, owns their docket, and is prepared to take cases to verdict when the client’s interests demand it. Our pre‑litigation team feeds you well‑prepared files. Your job is to take them across the finish line. Learn more at The Role Cases are handed to you at the point of suit filing — after demand has been rejected or negotiations have reached impasse. From there, you own the file through resolution: discovery, depositions, motions practice, mediation, and trial when necessary. You will work alongside a shared paralegal and legal assistant pool and collaborate directly with the Managing Partner on strategy and case development. Most cases resolve through mediation or negotiated settlement during the litigation process. But we want someone who prepares every case as if it is going to trial — because that preparation is exactly what produces better results at every stage before trial. Core Responsibilities Own a litigation docket of personal injury cases from suit filing through resolution Manage all phases of discovery: written discovery, depositions, expert witnesses, and medical record development Draft and argue motions, including motions to compel, motions for summary judgment, and motions in limine Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts Represent clients at hearings, status conferences, and court appearances in Georgia State and Superior Courts Prepare cases for and attend mediations; negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurers Try cases to verdict when settlement is not in the client’s best interest Communicate proactively with clients on case status, strategy, and expectations Coordinate with shared paralegal and legal assistant staff to execute case tasks efficiently Collaborate with pre‑litigation team on incoming files to ensure smooth handoffs Required Qualifications J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school Active Georgia Bar membership in good standing 2–4 years of civil litigation experience Hands‑on experience with Georgia civil discovery, court rules, and motion practice Deposition experience (taking or defending) Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently under court‑imposed deadlines Strong legal writing skills — motions, briefs, and correspondence Ability to appear in person for hearings, depositions, and trials throughout Metro Atlanta Preferred Qualifications Plaintiff‑side personal injury or plaintiff civil litigation experience Trial experience — first or second chair, bench or jury (any amount welcomed) Familiarity with Georgia OCGA Title 51 tort principles and insurance coverage concepts Experience with legal case management software (Clio, MyCase, or similar) Prior experience working with a paralegal or support staff team Who Succeeds in This Role We are not looking for someone who tolerates litigation on the way to something else. The majority of legal work (drafting, discovery, research, client calls) can be performed remotely with a professional home workspace. You must have a dedicated, distraction‑free environment and reliable internet. In‑person attendance is required for depositions, hearings, mediations, trials, and firm meetings. Court appearances will primarily be in Georgia State and Superior Courts across the Metro Atlanta area. This is not a fully remote role. If you cannot reliably appear in person for court obligations, this position is not a fit. Location Metro Atlanta, Georgia. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Metro Atlanta area to meet in-person court and deposition obligations. Active Georgia Bar membership required.
