CEAP - Community Emergency Assistance Programs
Community Emergency Assistance Programs (CEAP) is a community-based, non-profit agency dedicated to creating access to healthy food and providing opportunities for elevating the health and wellness of our community through referrals, advocacy and assistance to our neighbors. While we are located in Brooklyn Center, we have no geographic boundaries to our services and any neighbor who needs our services may use them.
We are neighbors helping neighbors, working to create a community in which every person feels loved, safe and nourished. CEAP mobilizes resources, shares abundance, and nourishes neighbors to create and celebrate a healthier, stronger, and more connected community.
CEAP offers many volunteer opportunities , through our Food Market, helping build food orders, stock shelves, and assist participants at curbside bringing a smile and nourishing food to families as they drive up for their orders. Through our Meals on Wheels program, helping to deliver hot fresh nutritious meals to our homebound neighbors while offering a friendly check-in, packing hot or frozen meals into clean carriers or helping with the behind-the-scenes labels/highlighting for driver route sheets. Through our Turning Leaf Thrift Store helping sort and help neighbors find their next new outfit. As well as Seasonal Programs/Events opportunities throughout the year.
Our Food Market provides groceries to up to 100 families each day with over 1 million pounds of food shared each year.
Our Meals on Wheels program provides 450 homebound neighbors with hot fresh nutritious meals every year with 27 daily routes.
Our Turning Leaf Thrift Store provides a low-cost resource for families looking for their next new outfit, shoes, or gently used item.
