Description Sous Chef - Senior Living Facility Elan Assisted Living in Bradenton is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef / Cook to join our team. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents’ preferences Plan menus that are nutritious, balanced, and appealing Supervise kitchen staff and ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs Ensure timely delivery of meals to residents and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment Collaborate with healthcare staff to accommodate special dietary needs Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold quality and safety standards Skills and Qualifications Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements for seniors Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred Flexibility to work full‑time hours, including weekends and holidays as needed At Elan Assisted Living, we foster a compassionate and supportive culture that values teamwork, growth, and the well‑being of our residents.
