Production Machine Operator (Brake Press / CNC Laser)

Position Title: Production Machine Operator (PMO)
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Overtime: Possible overtime on Fridays

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Production Machine Operators to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate CNC laser cutting equipment and/or press brake bending cells to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have previous CNC manufacturing experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting machines and/or press brake (bend cell) equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings, and production specifications.
• Verify dimensions and quality of finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and gauges.
• Perform routine machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting to maintain production efficiency.
• Load and unload materials and finished parts safely.
• Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Keep work areas clean and organized using 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
• Assist with other production duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machines, press brakes, bend cells, or similar manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to safely handle metal materials and finished products.
