Technical Support Specialist Location: Syracuse, NY (On-Site)OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Technical Support professional to join a medical imaging engineering team supporting more than 1,200 healthcare locations nationwide. This position plays a critical role in supporting imaging technology, troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating vendors, and ensuring locations remain operational.This is not a traditional help desk position. We are looking for an individual with strong troubleshooting skills who can independently investigate software, hardware, networking, and application issues while managing tickets from initial intake through resolution.The ideal candidate will have a combination of desktop support, systems support, networking, customer service, and coordination experience.ResponsibilitiesProvide Tier II/Tier III technical support for medical imaging systems and related applicationsTroubleshoot software, hardware, desktop, network, and connectivity issuesProvide remote technical support to healthcare locations across the countryAnalyze and diagnose technical problems to determine root cause and resolutionEscalate and coordinate support activities with third-party vendors and manufacturersManage support tickets throughout the full lifecycle, ensuring timely follow-up and resolutionCoordinate field technician dispatches, scheduling, equipment replacement activities, and maintenance visitsSupport software deployments, device rollouts, upgrades, testing, and implementation projectsDocument troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and customer interactionsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficienciesAssist with hardware staging, configuration, and validation activitiesRequired Qualifications3+ years of experience in Technical Support, Desktop Support, Systems Support, Application Support, or a related IT support roleStrong Windows workstation administration and troubleshooting experienceExperience supporting software applications, desktop hardware, and end usersStrong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, LAN connectivity, switches, cabling, and device communicationsExperience diagnosing and resolving application and connectivity issuesExcellent communication, customer service, and documentation skillsExperience working with vendors and third-party support organizationsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple technical issues simultaneouslyProven ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolutionJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Syracuse, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
