In 1964, Robert McCulloch opened the original Nautical Inn, with just 16 rooms, a cocktail lounge, and a 180-seat dining room overlooking Thompson Bay. Over the next several years, the hotel expanded to accommodate the Bay Rooms, Cove Suites, the Commodore, and Captain Suites. Today, we are a one-stop, iconic destination boasting 139 rooms (that all overlook the water), 3 Food and Beverage outlets, a convention center, private launch ramp, a waterpark and fun for everyone.

About the Role:

The Room Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas within the hotel. This position ensures that each room is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and restocked to meet the highest standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction. The Room Attendant contributes directly to the guest experience by creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. Attention to detail and efficiency are essential, as the role requires managing time effectively to prepare rooms for new arrivals. Ultimately, the Room Attendant supports the hotel's reputation by upholding cleanliness standards and responding promptly to guest requests or concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and safe handling procedures.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning and sanitation.
• Customer service experience with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and floor polishers.
