Our innovative telehealth model enables you to conduct therapy sessions, assessments, and consultations from the comfort of your home while remaining fully supported by our clinical team. You will work with a diverse population of students, fostering connections that ensure accessibility to mental health resources. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments, gathering comprehensive information about a student’s history, challenges, and strengths to formulate accurate diagnoses. Provide individualized psychotherapy and counseling services using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). For instance, you may guide a student through CBT techniques to manage anxiety related to academic performance. Collaborate with students, families, and school personnel to design tailored treatment plans that outline specific goals and intervention strategies, continuously revising them based on student progress. Advocate for students' access to essential resources, including academic support, counseling services, and community resources, ensuring that every child receives the necessary care. Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, documenting all interactions and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards, contributing to seamless communication within multidisciplinary teams. Participate in crisis intervention and support group facilitation for students experiencing acute emotional distress, ensuring a safe and supportive environment conducive to healing. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents who face a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and adjustment disorders. This role is essential in helping students navigate their educational experiences while addressing their emotional and mental health needs. Qualifications A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required. A valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory to practice in your area. At least three years of clinical experience in providing psychotherapy and counseling, with a strong emphasis on working with children and adolescents. Preferred Experience Demonstrated expertise in solution-focused therapeutic interventions and methodologies, highlighting your ability to facilitate meaningful changes in clients' lives. Proven track record of collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and utilizing strong advocacy skills to connect clients with necessary resources. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster strong relationships with students, families, and the wider educational community. Compensation and Benefits Great Lakes Psychology Clinic offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
